Applies to:PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Pension Administration - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
A Date Alias that adjusts a date by a negative number of days will not consistently calculate correctly, even occasionally calculating invalid dates. For example, the Date Alias for November 30, 2017 plus a negative 244 days should return a date of 3/31/2017 but returns 3/30/2017; the Date Alias for October 31, 2017 plus a negative 184 days should return a date of 4/30/2017 but returns 4/31/2017, which is not even a valid date.
1. Create a Date Alias that adds negative days to a date (Navigation: Set Up HCM > Product Related > Pension > Variable Definitions).
2. Set up a Pension Calculation that uses that Date Alias, for example, as Event Date (Navigation: Pension > Calculations > Define Calculation).
3. Run the Pension Calculation (Navigation: Run This Calculation link).
