Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Group asset additions are being duplicated when running create accounting entries and the journal generator.  This occurs when the Min-Max range for the current group consolidation overlaps the Min-Max range for the prior group consolidation.

Expected Behavior
------------------------------
The expectation is that duplicate accounting entries and duplicate journal lines will not be generated when MIN/MAX DTTM_Stamp ranges overlap for a group asset.

Steps
-------------

This issue can be replicated by performing the following steps:

 1) Create group member asset1 for dttm_stamp1.

 2) Create group member asset2 for dttm_stamp2. (dttm_stamp2 > dttm_stamp1)

 3) Create group member asset3 for dttm_stamp3. (dttm_stamp3 > dttm_stamp2)

 4) Interface group member asset2 into AM from PC.

 5) Run Group Consolidation and Group Depreciation to include group member asset 2.

 6) Generate Accounting Entries to include group member asset 2.

 7) Run the Journal Generator to include group member asset 2.

 8) Interface group member asset1 into AM from PC.

 8) Interface group member asset3 into AM from PC.

 9) Run Group Consolidation and Group Depreciation to include group member assets 1 & 3. Note that the min and max dttm_stamps will create a range that includes group member asset2.

 10) Generate Accounting Entries to include group member assets 1 & 3. Note that the accounting entries generated will include group member assets 1, 2, & 3. Group member asset 2 will have duplicate accounting entries.

 11) Run the Journal Generator to include group member assets 1 & 3. Note that the journals lines generated will include group member assets 1, 2, & 3. Group member asset 2 will have duplicate journal lines.

Business Impact
-------------------------
The accounting entries and journals are overstated for group assets.
