Goal
RAD transaction on an asset recategorized to a non-depreciable cat creates one-sided DIST_LN entry
After running depreciation for an asset, we performed a recategorization (RCT) for an asset from a depreciable category to a non-depreciable category and ran depreciation for the RCT and SUS open transactions that were created.
User then went into the Asset Depreciation inquiry page (DEPR_HISTORY), and cleared out the depreciation for the RCT and saved the page to create an RAD TRANS_TYPE.
Since this is now a non-depreciable asset, the system created a single line with no account info into the DIST_LN table.
This was subsequently processed by JGEN and created a single line JE with no account and amount data that cannot be edited or posted.
REPLICATION STEPS
=================
1. Recat from depreciable (BLDG) to non-depreciable (LAND) category
2. Using the Period Depreciation tab of the DEPR_HISTORY component, clear out the depreciation amount for the RCT trans_type for the non-depreciable category (LAND) and save. This creates an RAD trans_type.
3. Review the accounting entries for this asset. An RAD trans has been created with no detail/account.
4. Drill down to GL and a single line has been inserted for that transaction
