"Person" Search Index is not Deployed Error when Searching using Fluid Company Directory

Symptoms
After upgrading from PeopleTools 8.54.30 to 8.55.14, when users attempt to search in Company Directory the below error message is received:
"Person" Search index is not deployed.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to the Fluid Company Directory
2. Enter employee's name and Search
3. Note above error message is displayed
