Repeat Codes not Assigned when Manually Posting Transfer Credit if Academic Program Repeat Rule Changes Over Time. (Doc ID 2340565.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2017

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Student Records - Version 9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9 version, Student Records Transfer Credit

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When manually posting transfer credit that includes repeated classes, repeat rules are not being assigned. The batch posting process does assign repeat codes.

 EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect manual posting of the transfer credit model to assign repeat codes per the repeat rule set up.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Records and Enrollment > Transfer Credit Evaluation > Course Credits - Automated.
2. Fetch classes for a student where the model includes repeated internal equivalent classes.
3. Post the model and no repeat codes are assigned.

Changes

This problem only occurs if the student's Academic Program has a repeat rule assigned that has changed over time. For example, earlier effective dated rows of the program use Repeat Rule 1 and the current row uses Repeat Rule 2.
