Error Message "Class %1 Method %2 Field %3 Invalid" When Trying To Reset Password For External Applicant

Symptoms

When External Applicant is attempting to reset the password, the following error occurs. This happens only for some Applicants.

"class %1 method %2 field %3 invalid”

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as an External Applicant
2. Click on Sign In and then 'Forgot Password'
3. If Valid Email Address is mentioned as part of Applicant registration, a temporary password is sent to that Mail
4. Try to Login using that password and the above error occurs
