Please be advice that as of PT 8.56, PeopleTools delivered translations are only delivered via dms/dat file: pt<xxx>.dms, which loads the matching pt<xxx>a.dat file.

Example:

ptesp.dms = spanish

These .dat files contain all translations…for system data as well as the objects that used to be delivered in projects.

The .dat files are recut every patch so they remain current. Look for these   pt<xxx>.dms in your ps_home/scripts directory.

For example, the ptxxxtlsyyy.dms files such as pt856tlsCFR.dms, pt855tlsCFR.dms and pt854tlsCFR.dms, will no longer be delivered or run in the step "Loading Base Data", and instead there will be one ptCFR.dms that will be run in the step "Populating Canadian French Translations".

Similar to the application process, after loading the .dat files you should run the AE program PTIACLEANLNG.

This will remove any orphaned translations from the database.
