EAR9.2: Currency Code On AR Customer Conversations

Symptoms

When going to View/ Update Conversations page, Currency Codes are not displayed according to "Effective Date" and "Status" fields, as the prompt view is not displaying the most effective dated row.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Go to Accounts Receivable/ Customer Interactions/ Conversations/View/Update Conversations page and click on Add a New Value;
  2. Upon clicking the currency prompt, check that Currency Code of AED is displayed - expected as the Currency Code AED status is currently Active;
  3. Go to the Currency Code configuration page, search for the Currency Code AED, click Correct History, set the Status of Inactive and Save;
  4. Go once again to View/Update Conversations and click Add a New Value;
  5. Upon clicking the currency prompt, the Currency Code of AED is not displayed- again expected behavior as the Currency Code AED is currently Inactive;
  6. Go once again to the Currency Code configuration page, search for the Currency Code AED, click Correct History, set the Status back to Active and Save;
  7. Click the Add sign to add a new effective dated row with an Effective Date greater than the existing "Active" row, set the Status to Inactive and Save;
  8. Go back to View/Update Conversations page and click Add a New Value;
  9. Upon clicking the currency prompt, the Currency Code of AED is displayed - unexpected behavior, as the most recently effective dated row for the Currency Code AED is currently Inactive.
