One Time Tax override for taxes is not working as expected.
There was an issue with the first pay of 2018 bonus payments for terminated/retired employees where their taxes (CIT) spiked to almost double what the normal tax deduction would be. In looking at the information, we believe that Tax Override Logic was not used correctly. The correct Tax Override Logic for this process would be Canadian Bonus Tax (B) but we believe that the Tax Override Logic of Canadian Income Tax T4 (C) was used and that when used that the system calculated the bonus taxes automatically and then applied the override amounts to the bonus taxes thus causing a huge tax deduction for the employee.
