Incorrect Top Age for Warning Message (17205,394) in Patch for Taxation for Working Holiday Makers
Another issue has been found in the code changes to the formula TAX FM MARGINAL in the Oracle Patch for Working Holiday Makers
This one is to do with the following code that generates the warning message 17205,394.
IF ( DR[GP AGE IN YEARS] < 18 OR DR[GP AGE IN YEARS] > 31 ) THEN
VR[AUS VR MSG SET BAT] >> SY[MSG SET NBR]
394 >> SY[MSG NBR]
EM[MSG PIN] >> FM[TAX FM MARGINAL]
The use of "> 31" is incorrect. The ATO's website, & the indeed the very message that is meant to be generated, states eligibility to be a working holiday maker is restricted between the ages of 18 & 30.
The code should read:
IF ( DR[GP AGE IN YEARS] < 18 OR DR[GP AGE IN YEARS] > 30 ) THEN
Testing attached showing an employee who has turned 31 is not getting the message.
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Navigate to Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Biographical > Modify Person
2.Search a person with Date of Birth year 1986, age of person is 31
3.Go to Maintain Tax Data AUS page and check Tax Scale is H
4.Run current month Payroll
5.In Payee Message page no warning message
