E-FLUID: Cursor Needs To Stay In Search Field When No Matching Value Is Found (Doc ID 2358780.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.56 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

PT 8.55.17

When creating an Expense Report, entering a value in either the expense type or the location field that will not yield a match, the cursor leaves the field and you cannot backspace anymore

The cursor needs to remain in the entry field when there is no match and the backspace needs to clear the values within the Expense Type

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Employee Self Service homepage (fluid homepage)
2. Expenses
3. Create Expense Report
4. Click to "Add Expense"
5. In the "Expense Type" field...type "ASDFGHI" (DO NOT TAB OUT OF THE FIELD)
6. The cursor disappears from the page when you are typing invalid value
This can only be replicated in PT 8.55.17 not on PT 8.55.15
