Return Bank Process Generates Large Log File When Processing Large Volumes Of Data (Doc ID 2365208.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2018

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise CS Brazil - Version 9 to 9 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Campus Solutions 9.0, with Brazil localizations, the Return Bank File process is creating excessively large log files when processing many students in the return file. The amount of message logging by the return bank file is causing the process to run slowly and create large, unusable log file. After processing 3,000 students the process will fail with a resource error.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Running the Bank Return process for a large number of students has increased processing time, and the process can fail due to lack of physical resources due to the log file size.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The Bank Return process should run efficiently and complete successfully.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Student Financials, Bank Collection Brazil, Load Banking File Return;
2. Complete the run control;
3. Submit the process to the process scheduler.
