(Doc ID 2365829.1)

Last updated on APRIL 16, 2018

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Absence Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Delegations/Fluid

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Proxy is unable to enter absence requests on behalf of his delegator in Fluid mode

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Fluid should work as Classic does; if a proxy is delegated tasks, which include entering an absence event on behalf of his delegator, he should be able to perform them.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Classic:
-Sign in system as Antonio - ASMITH (manager)
-Assign delegation tasks for manager and employee to Danilo - DTRAVANTTI
-Danilo can perform any action on requests for other employees who report to
Antonio, under the Manager Self Service screens.
-Through Employee Self Service screens, Danilo also has a choice of entering
a request for Antonio.

Fluid
-Sign in system as Antonio - ASMITH (manager)
-Assign delegation tasks for manager and employee to Owen - OWILLS
-***Notice that there are additional manager tasks with the word 'FLUID' in
the title.
-Owen can perform any action on requests for other employees who report to
Antonio, under the Manager Self Service home page...HOWEVER
-If Owen goes to the Employee Self Service home page, he can only request
absences for himself. He is not given the option to create requests on
behalf of Antonio

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, proxies are unable to enter absences on behalf of the delegator. They must confer with the delegator's manager or the Absence administrator, which is not always practical and deviates from the functionality they had in Classic mode.
