Why the Depreciation Of Group Assets is not stopping when the net book value reached zero?
Here is what a customer wanted to accomplish:
We are only trying to stop the system from calculating future depreciation on the old group assets from 2004. All we are trying to accomplish is for the system to stop calculating depreciation once the total depreciation equals the total cost. We thought adding the end date (11/30/2013) and a low limit (1.0) would cause the system to calculate the depreciation equal to the cost. Apparently that is not how the asset management system was designed.
- It works if the low limit was added during setup.
- It does not work if the low limit was added after member assets have been added to the group. The only question we want to know is if there is a way for the system to calculate depreciation equal to the cost for group assets that were added in 2004 without a low limit without transferring the old group asset to a new group asset?
