Error (2,280) in Copy Service Indicator when Long Description is Too Long

Symptoms
In CS 9.2,
When trying to copy a Service Indicator Code, users get the following errors when selecting the copy button:

A fatal PeopleCode SQL error occurred. Please consult your system log for details.
SQL error in Exec. (2,280) SCC_SI_SETUP.SrvcIndCodeTbl.OnExecute Name:ExecCopy PCPC:4471 Statement:28
Called from:SCC_SI_WRK.SCC_SI_LNK3.FieldChange Statement:7
During the execution of SQL, an error occurred in the Exec subroutine. The preceding message should have described the SQL being executed.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Set Up SACR > Common Definitions > Service Indicators > Service Indicator Table.
2. Retrieve an existing active service indicator code with a service impact of AENR.
3. Select the Copy button.
4. Enter the Academic Institution value and enter a new service indicator code.
5. Select Copy (Service Indicator) button.
BUSINESS IMPACT

Due to this issue, users cannot successfully use the Copy button to copy a service indicator code.
