E-MCF: MCF Samples Page no longer works after upgrade to PeopleTools 8.56 (Doc ID 2389311.1)

Symptoms

Recently upgraded to PeopleTools 8.56.06


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1- In PIA menu navigate: PeopleTools > MultiChannel Framework > Email > Sample Pages
2- In Message Count group box, hit Fetch button.
3- Observe the pop-up error

ERROR
-----------------------
CANNOT CONNECT TO MAIL SERVER


From the integration gateway errorlog.html file the following error shows


javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: AUTHENTICATE failed.
at com.sun.mail.imap.IMAPStore.protocolConnect(IMAPStore.java:715)
at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:364)
