Award Validation Edit 9562 and Posting Error 163 (Doc ID 2399092.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to make award adjustments on Assign Awards to Students, some students are having a different, previously awarded item type fail validation with edit 9562:

The issue only occurs for some students not all. In one example case, the group of affected students were identified to have been posted under a different disbursement plan at one point.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Financial Aid > Awards > Award Processing > Assign Awards to Students.
  2. Enter the page for the affected student and make changes to the award package.
  3. Click the Validate button and note any messages/errors.
  4. Click the Post button and note any messages/errors.
