E-PCODE: Exec Peoplecode Built In Not Working As Expected In PT 8.56 (Doc ID 2400180.1)

Exec() function
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
 Exec built in function is written to trigger the Unix command "Sleep" on Application Server (IBM AIX) to pause the execution for 30 seconds. This code is correctly pausing the execution flow for 30 seconds in 8.53 environment but it continues the execution without the sleep time in People Tools 8.56

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Exec should pause the execution for 30 seconds as stated in the sleep time.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, cannot go live as this is used in customized Journal Edit program.

Changes

Dev. closed the bug with following comment:

 

no need to change PeopleBook. As mentioned in current 
PeopleBook, when %FilePath_Absolute is not specified, $PS_HOME will be 
prefixed to command str. It seems to me that there happens to be a sleep 
executable file under $PS_HOME in this case.
