'onReadyState' Error In Benefits Enrollment Using Microsoft Edge Browser on PT 8.55 (Doc ID 2400220.1)

Symptoms

In Microsoft Edge, Login to the application using Tools 8.55.x.
Employee Self Service => Benefits Enrollment
Select the SELECT button to enter the enrollment pages
Click EDIT next to the Medical coverage selection
Choose a radio button to select an option
Click UPDATE and CONTINUE

At this point all Edge users get an 'onReadyState' error. Other browsers work fine.
