EGL9.2: User Getting Kicked Out of Fluid GL Navigation Collection in Different Components (Doc ID 2409956.1)

Symptoms

Issue:

When using the Fluid GL navigation collection, some actions take the user out of the navigation collection. The same actions produce different results in different components.

Scenarios:
 A - Enter Budget Journals: Kicked out after clicking the Process button. Save button is OK.
 B - Enter Budget Transfer: Kicked out after clicking the Save button or the Process button.
 C - Create/Update Journal Entries: Seems OK for both Save button and Process button.
 D - ChartField Values: Kicked out after clicking any link to open that ChartField.


What's working:

This behavior is not present in production (PUM 20, PeopleTools 8.55.06).

Steps to replicate:

A - Enter Budget Journals

1. Accept the defaults in the Add a New Value tab.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Click the magnifying glass for the Ledger Group field.
4. Click a Ledger Group, such as GVPROJ_REV.
5. Click the Save button.
      * Expected and actual results: Stay in the navigation collection.
6. Click the Budget Lines tab.
7. Select the "Edit Chartfields" option in the Process list.
8. Click the Process button.
      * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
      * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.

B - Enter Budget Transfer

1. Accept the defaults in the Add a New Value tab.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Click the magnifying glass for the Ledger Group field.
4. Click a Ledger Group,
5. Click the Save button.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.
6. Click the back button in the unified header to get back to the navigation collection.
7. Use the Find an Existing Value to re-open the budget transfer.
8. Click the Budget Lines tab.
9. Select the "Edit Chartfields" option in the Process list.
10. Click the Process button.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.

C - Create/Update Journal Entries

1. Accept the defaults in the Add a New Value tab.
2. Click the Add button.
3. Enter a Ledger Group.
4. Enter a Source.
5. Click the Lines tab.
6. Enter an Account.
7. Click the Save button.
      * Expected and actual results: Stay in the navigation collection.
8. Click the OK button.
9. Click the Process button to run the Edit Journal process.
      * Expected and actual results: Stay in the navigation collection.

D - ChartField Values

1. Click any link, such as Account.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.
2. Click the back button in the unified header to get back to the navigation collection.
3. Click any link, such as Alternate Account.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.
4. Click the back button in the unified header to get back to the navigation collection.
5. Click any link, such as Fund Code.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.
6. Click the back button in the unified header to get back to the navigation collection.
7. Click any link, such as Department.
     * Expected result: Stay in the navigation collection.
     * Actual result: Kicked out of the navigation collection.

In Bug 28136400 : EGL 9.2 NAVIGATION SIDE BAR MISSING AFTER ADDING A NEW CHARTFIELD (which was fixed by the original noted bug) the following replication steps showed this new problem:

DESCRIPTION
===========
Customer goes to General LEdger tile and chooses Chartfield request and adds
a chartfield in.  After submitting for approval, the navigation sidebar is
gone and they have to go back and click on the General Ledger tile again to
get the navigation sidebar.
 
REPLICATION STEPS
=================
1) If the General Ledger tile isn't on the home page add
2) Click on the General Ledger tile
3) Click on Chartfield request
4) Add a new chartfield
5) Submit the chartfield for approval
6) Note the sidebar is gone
