If an employee is hired mid-pay cycle, how can employees begin accruing leave on the first day of employment? These employees are paid on a biweekly payroll and are enrolled in the Vacation Plan with an Effective Date of the first of the month after hire. The Vacation Plan accrues leave on an hours-per-hour basis.
