CRM - Customer ID Search On Support Add Case Page Not Working Correctly (Doc ID 2413715.1)

Customer ID is added as one of the fields on the Support Add Case page (through configuration using BO Search for Support Add Case). 
When the user enters a customer ID in this field and clicks on search, the results are shown correctly on the search page.
But, when the user "changes" the customer id on the search page, and clicks on Search button, THEN the results are not shown correctly.
