E-ES: No Results Returned if PeopleSoft uses an Oracle GridRAC (Doc ID 2414039.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 25, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.55 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

We use Oracle gridrac for the database. The database name is DATABASE_PRD, but, server instances are configured such that batch processes use a database name of DATABASE_BAT and online transactions use a database name of DATABASE_OLT. This controls to which nodes of the gridrac the transactions are directed.

The process that populates the index is the batch app engine PTSF_GENFEED, which would use DATABASE_BAT.
The online searches in PIA would use DATABASE_OLT.
We see the index name on the Elasticsearch cluster contains "DATABASE_OLT", so "ptportalregistry_DATABASE_OLT".
But the documents inside the index are linked to 'DATABASE_BAT' somehow.

How to resolve this?
