E-BI/XMLP: BI Publisher Report Gives RTFTextParser Errors After Tools Upgrade (Doc ID 2415291.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run BI Publisher report after upgrade, it gives a number of errors. In this example, the issue was occurring after a PeopleTools upgrade from 8.55.12 to 8.56.08.

Some messages that might be seen in the log include the following:

[062218_183048004][oracle.xdo.template.rtf.RTFTextParser][ERROR] [Line 730.227] <?end if?> cannot close <?for-each:...?> at [Line 325.122]

[062218_183048512][oracle.xdo.template.rtf.RTFTextParser][ERROR] [Line 1689.239] <?end for?> cannot close <?for-each:...?> at [Line 1678.205]

When using the 'Validate Template' feature in the BI Publisher Template Builder Word plug-in, errors were also present there.
