E-ES: Search Not Working - "An Error Has Occurred While Performing Search" (Doc ID 2419254.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.55 version, Elastic Search

Search not working and receiving the error as "An error has occurred while performing search, please contact your administrator."  Another Error message in a Popup or seen in the errorlog.html is "ACL metadata action failed".
