E-QR: Query Rename Does Not Impact Translation Table (Doc ID 2419660.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.53 to 8.54 [Release 8.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In PeopleTools 8.53, when renaming a PS query that contains a translation data/row, the translation data associated with the original PS query in the PSQRYDEFNLANG table is not updated.  The row remains in the table, referencing the old query name.

Can be replicated by doing the following:

1. Imported a query with translation data
2. Navigate to People Tools  > Utilities > Administration > Query Administration, and rename the query
3. Run the following SQL

select * from PSQRYDEFN where qryname like '[queryname]';
select * from PSQRYDEFNLANG where qryname like '[queryname]';

The row in PSQRYDEFN will show the new name.  But the row in PSQRYDEFNLANG will show the old name.
