Information in this document applies to any platform.

Where an employee has a student loan with an end date prior to the FPS period and corrective retro has occurred into a period where the SL was active and the corrective deltas are reworked so that the net value is non zero, then the SL PTD value is reported on the FPS with a null plan type.

Scenario 1:

Employee starts 1st April with SL setup with end date of 30/4. Employee paid in April OK. Employee than has a change to start date keyed to 15th April. May payroll correctively recalculates April reducing the amount of SL. No SL taken in May period due to end date. FPS reports reduced SL PTD against null plan type.

Scenario 2

Current employee with SL end date of 30/4 paid in April as normal. Then backdated termination date keyed to mid April. May payroll correctively recalculates April with change to SL value. Again no SL in May due to end date. Again FPS reports corrected prior period SL PTD value against null plan type.
