Program Status Incorrectly Set When Adding New Effective Dated Row to Program and Plan Stack (Doc ID 2421036.1)

On CS 9.2 Student Records Additional Features

In PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions Release 9.2, a user accidentally set the Program Action to DISC instead of DATA by adding new effective dated row to program/plan stack.  This changed set the Status to Discontinued.  When the user changed the Program Action to DATA, the status remained as Discontinued.

Program status should change automatically when there is change in Program Action.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Main Menu > Records and Enrollment > Career and Program Information > Student program Plan
  2. Search Student ID
  3. Add a new row
  4. Select Discontinued from the lookup
  5. Status changes to "Discontinued"
  6. Go back in to the lookup on program action and select Data Change. Hit tab. Status remains at "Discontinued" and when record is now saved, it stays at "Discontinued"
