E-PORTAL: When creating a link to a Content Reference, browser Label Getting Overridden With Target Component Label (Doc ID 2426049.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 11, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise PT PeopleTools - Version 8.54 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The Browser label is getting overridden with the target component label instead of the link label. This is happening when a content reference link is being created which is pointing to a target component with the label being different. See below.

Expected was that the Browser tab name to be controlled by the label set at Link Definition as previous versions. See below sample from 8.52.

This worked properly until PT 8.54

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to PeopleTools > Portal > Structure and Content
2. Edit the label for Link Information
3. Navigate to the link created.

PeopleTools only upgrade to 8.54 or above
