Incorrect Service Dates Have Created Depreciation Expense To Be A Lot Higher Than Expected (Doc ID 2430597.1)

Goal

We have many assets that were entered with the invoice date as the in service date. The project completion date should have been used as the in service date instead. For example one asset used an 'in service' date in 2015, when it should have been May 2018. Can you please provide a list of detailed steps to correct the in service date and correct the depreciation expense?
