Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Time and Labor - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

TL_COMPLEAV_TBL not updating properly

TRC SRK had been synced to earn code SRB (deducting from plan type 5H) for several years which was incorrect. User unsynced TRC SRK from SRB and manually assigned historical rows to SRB and inserted a new row with earn
code SRN (deducting from plan type 50).

The issue comes into play if a user reported FSRB and later changes the TRC to SRK, the TL_COMPLEAV_TBL is not updated on the change, it retains the hours in TL_QUANTITY under 5H.

If the row on the timesheet where FSRB was reported is DELETED versus changed the TL_QUANTITY is zeroed out under plan 5H. If the user then reports SRK the hours are applied to the TL_COMPLEAV_TBL under both plan 50 and 5H.

User has also tried to see if inserting a row with the same effective date, that is on the TRC tbl for SRK, is inserted into the earn code table for SRN which SRK is associated with makes a difference and it does not.

REPLICATION STEPS
=================
1. TRC SRK had been synced to earn code SRB (deducting from plan type 5H) for several years which was incorrect.
2. Unsync TRC SRK from SRB in correction code. Check all effdt rows to see that SRK is still in the Mapping to Earnings Code section at the bottom of the page.
3. On the latest effdt, change SRB to SRN and click on SAVE. (SRN is deducting from plan type 50)
4. User reported FSRB (type 50 TRC) and later changes the TRC to SRK, the TL_COMPLEAV_TBL updates plan 50 but retains the hours in TL_QUANTITY under 5H.
5. If the row on the timesheet where FSRB was reported is DELETED versus changed the TL_QUANTITY is zeroed out under plan 5H.
6. If the user then reports SRK the hours are applied to the TL_COMPLEAV_TBL under both plan 50 and 5H.
