Goal
For upgrading Campus solutions 9.0/8.55 to 9.2/8.56, the upgrade Source Demo was created using the Upgrade Source Image Installation method and the default collation Latin1_General_Bin was selected (based on the doc PeopleSoft 9.2 Application Installationfor Microsoft SQL Server (PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.56)). The production environment is on a different collation (Latin1-General, case-insensitive, accent-sensitive, kanatype-insensitive, width-insensitive for Unicode Data, SQL Server Sort Order 52 on Code Page 1252 for non-Unicode Data). Please address the below questions
- Is is required that the source and target to be on same collation?
- If it is, should the Copy of Production collation be changed before the upgrade?
- How will the change impact the upgrade process?
