Smart HR Does Not Create Job Data Row When the 'Multiple Jobs Allowed' PeopleTools Option is Disabled (Doc ID 2442213.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Human Resources - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Smart HR Transaction, while filling Personal Data section, the Employee type is selected and then the 'Add Relationship' button is clicked. The employee's Personal Data record with employee ID is saved but the Job Data record is not created.
However, the 'Add Relationship' button should open Job Data so the corresponding record can be saved.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigation: PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > PeopleTools Options
Confirm the “Multiple Jobs Allowed” is disabled.
2. Navigation: Workforce Administration > Personal Information > Add a Person
Enter Employee Data within Biographical Details, Contact Information, and Regional tabs
3. Go to Organizational Relationships tab, and select the 'Employee' checkbox and then click the Add Relationship button and Save.
Note the Person ID assigned to new employee.
4. Navigation: Main Menu > Workforce Administration > Job Information > Job Data
Search for above Empl ID, note Job Record was not created.

Note, Issue also occurs when using the 'Add Person' button from Smart HR on Step 2.
