EPY : After Tax Update 18-C, PAY_EARNINGS Is Updated Differently, Re: REG_EARNS And REG_HR_EARNS (Doc ID 2449074.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 20, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Payroll for North America - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Core Processes

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When running payroll after applying 18-C, the columns used for the calculations for leave/vacation appear to have changed.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The columns PAY_OTH_EARNS.OTHER_EARNS was subtracted from PAY_EARNINGS.REG_HR_EARNS value and PAY_EARNINGS.REG_EARNS was not updated and was the same as PAY_EARNINGS.REG_PAY.

This looks to have changed in 18-C

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Review the SQL updates from pay before 18C
2. Apply 18C
3. Review the SQL tables for values in :
PAY_CHECKS
PAY_EARNINGS
PAY_OTH_EARNS
for the last 2 paychecks, the values are different
