Batch Need Summary Validation Does Not Update Cost Of Attendance or Need (Doc ID 2454128.1)

Goal

Occasionally there are students where the COA and Need fields on the Need Summary are not correct or in sync with each other, and the fields are not updated by the batch Need Summary Validation process to correct the discrepancies.

However, if the Need Summary Validation process is invoked on-line by clicking the 'Update Need Summary' button on Student Budget Maintenance, the COA and/or Need figures are updated as expected.

Shouldn't the on-line and batch versions of the process work the same, or why would the results be different between the two versions of the process?
