E-PORTAL : Content Provider Sessions do not Expire after Sign out

Using Unified Navigation in Ihub, users can access Finance and HRMS as they are configured as content providers. While accessing the content provider pages, sometimes multiple sessions are created in remote content system. One of the sessions doesn't get expired after hitting the signout. Session is only removed until the timeout occurs.
Issue can be be replicated with the following steps;
1) if ePro is used to generate a req, an e-mail is sent to an approver. When the approver clicks the link, they are taken to a Portal login screen.
2) Once they log in, a web session is created in Portal, and two more web sessions are created in quick succession in Finance (from Portal).
3) If the approver then signs out, the Portal web session and the newest Finance web session go away, but any other Finance sessions remain until they time out.
