EGL9.2: Create/Update Journal Entries Component Displays "Budget Status" Label Instead Of The Budget Status Value For Journals Imported Using Spreadsheet Journal Import(JRNL1_WS) Template (Doc ID 2460253.1)

Last updated on JULY 07, 2020

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN General Ledger - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Issue:
--------
In some circumstances, the Create/Update Journal Entries, Lines tab, Totals grid, Budget Status field displays the words "Budget Status" label instead of the status code. This can happen even for a General Ledger business unit and ledger that does not use budgets and would normally not display the Budget Status field.

Expected Behavior:
-----------------------
For a General Ledger business unit and ledger that does not use budgets, the Budget Status column should never be displayed.
For a General Ledger business unit and ledger that uses budgets, the Budget Status column should display a status code. If no status code, then fall back to 'N'.

Steps to Replicate:
---------------------
 1. Navigate to General Ledger > Journals > Import Journals > Spreadsheet Journals.
 2. Use an existing run control or add a new run control.
 3. If needed, click the Delete button to remove any existing attached file.
 4. Click the Add button.
 5. Use the File Attachment window to browse to the file.
 6. Click the Upload button.
 7. Click the Run button.
 8. Set the Select checkbox for the Journal Import with Edit GL_EXCL_BATC process.
 9. Click the OK button.
10. Click the Process Monitor link.
11. Click the Refresh button periodically until the process finishes.
12. Navigate to General Ledger > Journals > Journal Entry > Create/Update Journal Entries.
13. If needed, click the Find an Existing value tab.
14. Use the search criteria to open the new journal entry.
15. If needed, click the OK button to dismiss Message (5010,101).
16. Click the Lines tab.
17. Review the Budget Status column in the Totals grid.
-> Expected Results: Field displays "N" for not budget checked.
-> Actual Results: Field displays the "Budget Status" label instead of the status code.
