eBenefits: Beneficiary Only Changes For Savings Pans (4X) Are Not Being Recognized In Benefits Administration (Doc ID 2461596.1)

Symptoms

When an event maintenance event is processed where the employee logs in and selects a change to the Beneficiary percentage, the change is inserted as expected.

However, when the employee merely changes the allocation of primary to secondary and Secondary to Primary with no percentage amount changes, meaning the percentages are entered as they were before, the changes are not inserted.  

For example:  
Spouse was 100% Primary
Child was 100% Secondary

Change was made for Spouse 100% Secondary, and Child was 100% Primary.

This does not occur for 2x Life Plans.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create an FSC Event for an employee
2. Log in as employee and select the FSC event.
3. Select 401K Savings Plan to edit.
4. Enter the same percentage allocation for the Beneficiaries but in the alternate Primary and Secondary fields than they were previously.
5. Finalize the FSC Event

No new Savings Plan enrollment is entered with the Beneficiary allocation changes.
