ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
External Course Name always reflecting most effective dated entry.
After changing an external school course name(high school or transfer credit), the name reflected on the student's record is always the latest effective dated name.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Campus Community>Create/Maintain Organization>School Course Classification
2. Originally all the school courses were downloaded with the effective date of 01/01/1901
Add two effective dates for the course name change
Fall 2015 Diversity of Life I
Fall 2017 Diversity, Life & Env. I
3. Go to Records and Enrollment>Transfer Credit Evaluation>External Education. Click on tab Courses and Degrees
4. Add School Subject, Notice that system automatically chooses the most up to date name on this course from Fall 2017, even though the date when the student took in 2010.
BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
The concern is that the Admission Officers staff will see on the external education the wrong name of the course. The system is pulling always the latest information on the course name. It requires them to go literally to the School Course Classification to review it.
