E-DPK: Error Upgrading Tools From 8.54 To 8.55 On AIX (Doc ID 2473462.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.55 version, Upgrade

Error upgrading tools from 8.54 to 8.55 on AIX

Database has been upgraded via change assistant, but after running the PeopleTools DPK script ( ./psft-dpk-setup.sh --env_type midtier ) to upgrade AIX servers (app, prcs,web) the following errors are encountered



ERROR
-----------------------

/psft-dpk-setup.sh[22]: readlink: not found.
./psft-dpk-setup.sh[24]: readlink: not found.
Usage: basename String [Suffix]
cp: /etc/init.d/functions: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
./psft-dpk-setup.sh[45]: 0403-057 Syntax error at line 565 : `=~' is not expected.



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run ./psft-dpk-setup.sh --env_type midtier

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot complete the 8.54 to 8.55 PeopleTools upgrade on AIX
