GP CHE - SWISSDEC GPCH_AE_TX07 Fails Due To First Name Longer Than 30 Caracters (Doc ID 2474466.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2019

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise HCM Global Payroll Switzerland - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The GPCH_AE_TX07 fails when passing through an employee with first name longer than 30 caracters.
The system allows First name that are longer, so the sqr should take into charge this possibility and have more than 30 characters.
As peoplesoft GA allows longer First names, this should be handled within the program to avoid SQL errors

Message received£:

  Return: 12899 - ORA-12899: value too large for column "SYSADM"."PS_GPCHUT072_TMP7"."FIRST_NAME" (actual: 34, maximum: 30).
