EAM 9.2: Newly Created Asset Via Express Add Page With Manually Added Books, Does Not Convert Currency Correctly (Doc ID 2477514.1)

Last updated on JUNE 17, 2022

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Asset Management - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating assets by manually adding the books on the Express Add page with non-USD base currency business unit, the system is not calculating the rate conversion for the USD book.

When using the Default button, the rate conversion is working correctly.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Express Add page to create a new asset (Main Menu > Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Owned Assets > Express Add)
2. Enter the asset information, including adding additional books by clicking on the 'Add a new row' icon at the book level.
3. Save the asset
4. Run Depreciation on the asset.
5. Navigate to the Asset Depreciation page and look at the USD book. (Main Menu > Asset Management > Depreciation > Review Depreciation Info > Asset Depreciation)

See Replication Steps.
