EAM 9.2: After Applying Patch 28668373 for Bug 28519825, Get 'This Transaction Cannot Be Performed. (8010,531)' When Reinstating Asset

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When reinstating a 'Disposed' asset, user is getting the following error: 'This Transaction Cannot Be Performed. (8010,531)'. This occurred after applying Patch 28668373 for Bug 28519825.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Asset Management > Asset Transactions > Asset Disposal > Retire/Reinstate Asset page
2. Search for a disposed asset
3. Click the Reinsate button
4. Save the asset
