EAR 9.2: AR30006 SQR Program Generates PDF File With Incorrect Total Selected Amounts (Aging by ChartField) (Doc ID 2486659.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2021

Applies to:

PeopleSoft Enterprise FIN Receivables - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ISSUE:

It has been detected by the Functional Team that after a systems upgrade to PeopleSoft Enterprise FSCM 9.2 Image #28, the AR Aging By Chartfield (AR30006) report is not displaying the correct Total Selected Amounts by ChartField.

It is selecting the entire Item/Invoice amount. For instance, an Invoice has two Accounting Distribution lines, and the accounting entry for each line item is recorded to a different Fund Code, Department ID, and Account. The entire amount of the Invoice appears in the selected Fund Code/Department ID instead of just the amount for the specified ChartField.

This happens if the AR30006 SQR Program is launched with an As Of Date value that falls between the Item's original posting date, and its payment date.

This used to be working fine until PeopleSoft Enterprise FSCM 9.2 Image #22 was delivered, ( possibly due to the new ar30006.sqr file provided by <Bug 24797259> ).

REPLICATION STEPS:

1.- Enable ChartField inheritance for Department ID ChartField
2.- At the Billing Integration Options level, set the AR Level at Header
3.- Create a new Invoice in Billing, with Accounting Date October 1st 2018, and two lines, each having a different Department ID (25000, and 31000) in their Accounting Entries
4.- Set the Invoice into Ready status, and launch the Single Action invoice process (BIJOB03)
5.- In Receivables module, confirm the External Pending Group got created, and set it to Post Action Batch Standard
6.- Launch AR Update for Pending Items, to post the Item into the Customer's Account
7.- Create a Regular Deposit, with one Payment transaction, having an Accounting Date of October 15th 2018, and making reference to the new Item ID
8.- Build a Payment Worksheet for that Deposit, balancing the Payment's amount against the Item's balance, and set it to Post Action Batch Standard
9.- Launch AR Update with the Payments option selected
10.- Confirm the Item is now paid, and closed, with all Accounting Entries generated, having inherited Department ID value
11.- Launch the Aging process for the involved Business Unit
12.- Launch the Aging by ChartField Report (AR30006 SQR Program), for the Account used, and a range of Department IDs (including both 25000, and 31000), with an As Of Date of October 10th 2018
13.- Confirm that on the resulting PDF file, the report has calculated the Department ID sub-totals for the entire amount of the Item, for each Department ID (25000, and 31000)

To gather more information concerning this scenario and its related problem, refer to the available Replication Steps Word Document here linked containing the complete configuration and the replication steps necessary to reproduce the issue.

ACTUAL RESULTS:

The resulting PDF file from the AR30006 (AR Aging by ChartField) is providing incorrect Total Selected Amount values by Department ID or any other ChartField. As a result, the report cannot be trusted.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

For each ChartField value combination, (Account, Department ID, Fund Code, etc...), the resulting PDF report should show the correct amount booked to it for Items splitting their amounts among multiple Accounting Entries, not the overall Invoice amount.
