Symptoms

On : 8.56 version, Updates and Fixes

While running the command ./setup.sh -tempdir /<path to tmp directory> to install PeopleTools 8.56.13 the the following occurs:

 

...../media/ToolsPatch/85613/Disk1 > ./setup.sh -tempdir /<path to tmp directory>
Setting temporary directory /<path to tmp directory>/IA.18347
Executing setup.linux -DCOMP_NAME=<HOST NAME.DOMAIN NAME> -DPS_UMASK=0002
Preparing to install...
Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
Unpacking the JRE...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

Launching installer...

JRE libraries are missing or not compatible....
Exiting....

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:


1. Install PeopleTools 8.56.13 using Patch 28799287: PT 8.56.13 PRODUCT PATCH

2. Running ./setup.sh -tempdir /<path to tmp directory>

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot install PeopleTools 8.53.13 using Patch 28799287: PT 8.56.13 PRODUCT PATCH
