ETL9.2: Inactive Task Profiles Can Be Assigned To Time Reporters. (Doc ID 2487692.1)

The task profiles that is not active for a Taskgroup being able to be assigned to time reporters.  The customer uses task profiles extensively to provide chartfield information to employees.  Sometimes a task profile that was once active for a Taskgroup becomes inactive because Customer had restructured and the task profile is still active, but it is active for a different Taskgroup so they need to keep the task profile active.  If users are still able to select task profiles for that are no longer active for a Taskgroup this is not caught until further down the processing cycle (I.e. when they run Time Admin via TLX00080)  instead of at the point in the business process when an employee is hired or transferred. For example, all the other fields on Time Report Data consider effective status if it exists on the prompt table when prompting.  The customer cannot assign a Taskgroup that is inactive at the time of hire or transfer. 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a new task profile and assign it to existing Taskgroup with new effective date.
  2. Under Valid Task profiles on the Taskgroup page, make this new task profile inactive.
  3. On Maintain Time reporter data page, insert new effective date and change the Taskgroup.
  4. Click on Task Profile to be able to select the task profile that not valid for the Taskgroup.
