EPY: WA PFML Questions On FLI and MLI Flags (Doc ID 2489017.1)

Customer reviewed the tax update 18-E release notes and had the following questions:

1. Will the premium calculation for WA PFML dependent on only state 'WA" and FLI and MLI flags value i.e. say 'Y'? If an EE resides in WA but works elsewhere i.e. resident is checked for state "WA" but UI jurisdiction is checked for another state say "OR", then what will happen?

For a WA state row and resident checked and MLI and FLI are set to 'Y', then system will calculate premium and deduct? id UI jurisdiction checked not a required pre-requisite for MLI and FLI to calculate when state is "WA"?

2. Transfers

Within ‘WA’ State transfers

An EE is transferred from one contract (which allows FML premium deduction) and was paying premium, to another contract which is currently exempt from premium deduction.
Is it customer's responsibility to add or update flags as applicable ?
 

3.  Is there a place to enter the PFML ID for Washington?
