E-CLOUD: Cloud Manager Install Fails When CLADM Password Is Greater Than 8 Characters (Doc ID 2492266.1)

Symptoms

On : 08 version, Cloud Manager

The bootstrap setup for Cloud Manager 8 for OCI fails with following error when the password for CLADM is greater than 8 characters


ERROR

In CloudManager_Status.log:

The PeopleSoft database Operator ID password attribute [opr_pwd] value  [****] found in the response file is invalid. It should contain only alphanumeric characters and is no more than 8 characters in length.


STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run the bootstrap setup for Cloud Manager 8 for OCI
2. Specify a password for CLADM that is greater than 8 characters
3. Observe the error as reported
