ELM 9.2: When Enrolling into a Class for a Course that has Multiple Classes, Learner Enrolled Erroneously into Multiple Classes for Course (Doc ID 2493350.1)

Symptoms

From Enroll Learners Page or Administer Class Roster Page, if enroll Learner(s) into a Class for a Course that has multiple Classes, Learner(s) enrolled erroneously into multiple Classes for Course. 

 

Steps to Replicate the Issue: 

1.  Log in as an Administrator and identify a specific Class for a Course with multiple classes and the Course is associated to a Program that has checked Auto Enrollment check box. 

     1-a. Navigation: Main Menu > Enterprise Learning > Catalog  > Maintain Courses

     1-b.  Navigation: Main Menu > Enterprise Learning > Catalog  > Maintain Programs    

2.  Then, navigate to  Main Menu > Enterprise Learning > Learner Tasks > Enroll Learners or Administer Class Roster, and enroll Learners into the specific 1st Class that Start date is in the past.

3.  Notice Learner enrolled into the specific class and in another class for the Course that is active. 

 

Example Scenarios for Courses with Multiple Classes and Program checked Auto Enrollment check box

 

Scenario 1 - Course with Multiple Classes and 1st classes Start Date and End date in the past and current date is 11/21/2018:

1) Course Classroom Training Effective Date 9/29/2018 
2) Class 1 - Classroom-01   Start Date 11/19/2018 and End Date 11/19/2018. 
3) Class 2 - Classroom-02   Start Date 11/29/2018 and End Date 11/29/2018.
4) Program with Effective Date 11/01/2018 with Course Classroom Training 

5) Administrator enrolls Learner(s)  in Class 1, noticed Learner enrolled in Class 1 and Class 2 

 

Scenario 2- Course with Multiple Classes and classes have no End dates and current date is 11/21/2018::

1) Course Classroom Training Effective Date 9/29/2018 
2) Class 1 - Classroom-01   Start Date 11/19/2018 and no End Date.  
3) Class 2 - Classroom-02   Start Date 11/29/2018 and no End Date. 
4) Program with Effective Date 11/01/2018 with Course Classroom Training 

5) Administrator enrolls Learner(s)  in Class 1, noticed Learner enrolled in Class 1 and Class 2 

 

Scenario 3- Course with Multiple Classes and classes have same Start and End dates but Sessions have different times and current date is 11/21/2018::

1) Course Classroom Training Effective Date 9/29/2018 
2) Class 1 - Classroom-01   Start Date 11/19/2018 and End Date 11/19/2018, Session starts at 9:00am.   
3) Class 2 - Classroom-02   Start Date 11/19/2018 and End Date 11/19/2018. Session starts at 1:00pm. 
4) Program with Effective Date 11/01/2018 with Course Classroom Training 

5) Administrator enrolls Learner(s)  in Class 2, noticed Learner enrolled in Class 1 and Class 2.
