The purpose of this note is to answer the most common related questions regarding financial aid packaging equation engine equations, and the associated global variables

1_ When using equations in the packaging rules of a packaging plan, is there a way to reference the item type being processed, via a global variable or any other method?

2) Can the amount equation for one item type reference global variables from the select equation used for the same item type?
